Important Notices Regarding WAFUNIF
Notice regarding claims of WAFUNIF involvement or endorsement in Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
WAFUNIF, through its association with external entities, agreed in good faith to lend the use of WAFUNIF assets to the marketing of PPE during the Covid-19 pandemic as part of the third United Nation's' SDG on health and well-being. However, WAFUNIF, as a 501c3 non-profit of the United Nations, is not and can not (by charter and by law) participate in commercial enterprises. Around May 2022, concerns were identified regarding the inappropriate use of the organization's reputation and IT assets and misrepresentation regarding WAFUNIF's level of involvement, prompting WAFUNIF to immediately rescind support for any and all such activities. Any on-going use of WAFUNIF trademarks or claims of WAFUNIF involvement in such enterprises is false.
Notice of dissolution of affiliation between WAFUNIF and ProtoGold
In August 2021, WAFUNIF was introduced to an organization called ProtoGold that promised the ability to modernize the WAFUNIF website and web presence. Consequently, WAFUNIF lost control over its domain and its content for a period of time. The issue has since been resolved and, as of January 1, 2022, WAFUNIF is no longer associated in any capacity with ProtoGold.
